Budgies as Pets in Our Homes

Budgies can be excellent starter creatures for people who love birds and are willing to have a pet bird in their life.

Budgerigars are small, colorful birds that are easy and inexpensive to care for. Cute little birds get used to people very easily when they are looked at alone, if you are patient and careful, some of them learn to talk.

How Many Budgies Should Be Seen?

This is a slightly different answer. If you have time to spare for this cute creature, if you can spend time together, then you can look for a budgie.

However, if you can't take the time to bond with the creature you're looking at, or if you're not sure you can, it would be a better decision to feed the bird in pairs. Another thing to be aware of is that single-guarded budgies are more likely to talk than double-guarded budgies.

When buying budgies, we recommend that you buy baby birds directly from the manufacturer, if possible. If you can't get it from the manufacturer, it will still be in your best interest to choose puppies and locally produced budgies from the pet stores you bought. The budgie, which has been handled in the young period, will get used to you more easily.

You should keep in mind that the singing of budgies can be disturbing.

How to Care for Our Budgie?

Our budgies are an ideal starter, especially for children and newbies. Now it's time to give information about maintenance.

How to Choose a Budgerigar Cage?

· You should buy the largest, best quality cage you can afford. Make sure the cage provides ample room for your budgie to spread its wings and flap without touching the sides.

· You should add various perches to your budgie's cage so that the budgerigar can move freely and change positions. In order for the budgerigar to file its nails and beak, squid bone and mineral stone block should be attached to the birdcage.

How Should the Budgerigar Cage Layout Be?

· You should not place the perches on them so that the waterers and feeders do not get dirty when the budgerigar needs them.

· Our birds should be given a bath once a week, in the early hours, and they should be taken out of the cage before evening. The bird should be prevented from sleeping wet in the evening.

Where Should the Budgie Cage Be?

It will be beneficial to place our cage in an area where our budgie can see family members and feel like family. The area where the cage will stand should never be in the air flow.

· The budgerigar cage should be cleaned every three days. During this cleaning, feeders and drinkers should be washed and dried, and fresh feed and water should be given.

How to Care for a Budgie?

· Fun is important to the budgie, whether single or double gazing. Toys can be placed in the cages to keep their minds busy. These toys should be the type that their nails cannot be caught. It should not be forgotten that budgies are active creatures.

· Time spent under surveillance outside of the budgie's cage ensures that you get plenty of exercise for the budgie. Our budgie's access to only one room should be restricted, it is necessary to make sure that there are no open windows. Special bird toys will help keep your budgie busy and happy outside of the cage.

In addition to giving mixed feed to our budgerigar, boiled eggs and potatoes, lettuce, black cabbage and broccoli can be given as greens. In addition, fresh fruits can be given. Giving our budgerigar mixed food instead of a single type of feeding will make it healthier. When fruit and greens are given, if they are not eaten within 24 hours, it will be more correct to take them from the cage.

Our budgies should never be given chocolate, salty food or alcohol.

· Clean water is very important for all kinds of creatures that we feed in our house, the creature must have access to clean fresh water. In particular, fresh water should be given every day to prevent the formation of bacteria.
